Processing materials

A debris field of material removed from the swimming tank during the dig seasons were sifted and artifacts removed for washing and cataloging.

Teams used a variety of sifting techniques to sort artifacts and minimize the dust.

 

Swinging sifter

A large, swinging sifter was one type used to separate artifacts from rocks, pebbles, and dirt.

 

Glass artifacts

This tray of washed artifacts shows some of the treasured items collected from the Swimming Tank.
