Archaeology: A series of captioned images about several archaeological processes including excavation, reconstruction of artifacts, and analysis of data are presented.

Archives: This section examines some of Jane Stanford's correspondence about the 1888 remodel of the house and includes historic photographs of the Library and Dining Room in the 1888 addition.

Artifacts: The Interactive Units Map in the Artifacts section links to reconstructed artifacts found in specific areas of the house.

Credits: This part lists the key contributors to the Stanford Farmdig Project, the media development team, and sponsors of the CD-ROM.

The Search for Jane's Cold Cream Jar

For nearly a decade, archaeologists, students, and community volunteers worked to excavate the location of Leland and Jane Stanfords' Palo Alto home.

They discovered remnants of the Stanford family's presence that help in constructing a rich image of what their day-to-day life might have been like during their residence in Palo Alto in the late 1800s.

This learning product is appropriate for K-adult as a simple introduction to the study of archaeology. It lets the viewer see fragile artifacts from the Stanford Farmdig Project that are not readily accessible for viewing.
