  The firing was open to the public. Participants paid a fee of seventy dollars for up to 15 pieces.   Burnished bisqueware was layed out near the edge of the firing pit. The pit was about 8 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 3 feet deep.   The bottom of the pit was cleared of any extraneous muck and six bags of fine sawdust were dumped into it.
